WhatsApp for solar and rooftop enquiries

Almost every rooftop enquiry opens with the same question — what will it cost — and it cannot be answered until two other things are known. Asking for those two on the first message is the difference between a quote and a guess.

What it answers on its own

These are handled in the conversation, without anyone being interrupted, at whatever hour the message arrives.

  • Roughly what a system costs, once the bill is known
  • How system size is worked out from a monthly bill
  • Which roof types a structure can be mounted on
  • How long installation takes, end to end
  • What a site survey involves, and booking one
  • Whether a subsidy applies, and what the process looks like

What it asks back, and why

A reply that collects nothing is a reply you have to follow up. Each question below earns its place by changing what happens next.

Average monthly electricity bill
Because it this is what sizes the system in kW; without it every figure is invented.
Roof type — RCC or metal sheet
Because it decides the mounting structure, which is a real part of the cost.
Approximate roof area
Because it a bill may justify 5 kW that the roof cannot physically hold.
Sanctioned load and connection type
Because it determines what the discom will approve for a grid-tied system.
Pincode
Because it sets the discom, the applicable process, and whether you serve the area.

Where a person takes over

The handover is configured, not guessed at. These go to your team with the conversation attached, so nobody starts from the beginning.

  • The final quotation, after the survey
  • Subsidy paperwork and discom applications
  • Anything structural the surveyor has to see

What you are left with

Every conversation ends as a record, whether or not it converted.

  • Name and number
  • Monthly bill amount and roof type
  • Roof area and pincode
  • Survey slot, if booked
  • The full conversation, so the engineer arrives already briefed

Questions

Can it give an exact price?

No, and it should not. It gives the range you configure for a given system size. A firm number needs the survey — roof condition, shading, cable runs — and quoting before that is how installers end up eating the difference.

Can it answer subsidy questions?

It can explain the process you configure it with. Scheme amounts and eligibility change, so the safe pattern is to describe the steps and hand the specifics to a person.

Does it handle commercial rooftop as well as homes?

Yes. The qualifying questions change — sanctioned load, tariff category, and roof access matter more than the household bill — and those are what you configure.
